Remembering Being Rescued

“Some days I find myself with the faith to get out of the boat and walk on the water out to Jesus, as Peter did. Other days, also

storm, wind waves, hurricane, hurricane Sandy, hurricane Ike, Houston hurricane

The aftermath of hurricane Ike in Houston 2008.

like Peter, the waves and wind overwhelm me as I take my eyes off Jesus, and I begin to sink. Sometimes it may be difficult to catch a breath and keep afloat. But this sustains me: I remember the way the Lord rescued me the last time I stepped out of the boat, and I remember He never takes His eyes off of me.”
