swirling waves, ocean waves, sea waves, wave psalm

An excerpt from chapter 5.

“Down, down into the deepest part . . . went my little body. . . and it seemed to take forever to get back to the surface. My lungs felt like they would explode as I gasped for air when I took my first breath.

How wonderful it is that we serve a God who does not give us more than we can handle! Even in the deep places His hand guides us. He does not leave us to drown in our times of sorrow or grief or fear. He pulls us up to the surface just in time.

Have you ever been so emotionally overwhelmed where you felt just like a person fighting to reach the surface for air?”

“But he knows the way that I take; when he has tested me, I will come forth as gold.” Job 23:10

[An excerpt from Three Days at Sea by Delana H. Stewart.]

Since there are twenty-five chapters in my new book Three Days at Sea: Soul flotation when the waves are pulling you under, I decided to share a quote a day (one from each chapter) until Christmas. Hope you enjoy them! Come back tomorrow for the next one…
