An excerpt from chapter 13.

“Grab your life jackets and report to your muster station . . .airplane in flight, airplane wing, airplane sky, plane flying

In life’s journey, we are passengers and crew. We need to receive instruction and give instruction and assistance to others. . . . Reminds me somewhat of air travel, when the flight attendant says to first put on your own oxygen mask and then assist those around you. If we do not equip ourselves, we will not be prepared to assist those around us who need encouragement, help, strength, hope, peace, and comfort.

Our Captain is speaking. He says:

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world” (John 16:33, NIV).

–an excerpt from Three Days at Sea

Since there are twenty-five chapters in my new book Three Days at Sea: Soul flotation when the waves are pulling you under, I decided to share a quote a day (one from each chapter) until Christmas. Hope you enjoy them! Come back tomorrow for the next one…
